Evaluation

The RANS simulations described in a previous section are compared and assessed to uDNS computation results preformed by UNIBG. The setup and results of this uDNS computation can be found under Lib:DNS 1-5.

Non-dimensional quantities:

Pressure coefficient: ${c_{p}=2(p-p_{\infty }/(\rho _{\infty }U_{\infty }^{2}))}$

Skin-friction coefficient: ${c_{f}=2\tau _{w}/(\rho _{\infty }U_{\infty }^{2}))}$

with the wall pressure $p$ , the freestream pressure $p_{\infty }$ , the freestream density $\rho _{\infty }$ , the freestream velocity $U_{\infty }$ and the wall shear stress $\tau _{w}$ .
