Axisymmetric drop impact dynamics on a wall film of the same liquid
Abstract
Provide a summary of the test-case submission here.
dynamics of rotationally symmetric droplet-wall film interaction
High quality time-resolved experimental data are provided for the normal impact of a single drop on a thin wall film consisting of the same liquid. The initial kinetic energy of the drop is chosen so that it is sufficientlz and associated crown formation dynamics under conditions where the entire process stays axisymmetric. Such experimental data are missing in literature but are especially useful for advancement and validation of numerical methods.
