Axisymmetric drop impact dynamics on a wall film of the same liquid
Introduction
Give a brief overview of the EXP in question. Describe the main characteristics of the type of flow. In particular, what are the underlying flow physics which characterise this test case and the main quantities of interest.
The two-phase flow is laminar and axisymmetric.
The experiment provides data for the time evolution of three characteristic dimensions of the crown forming during the drop-film interaction. No measurements have been performed on the velocity field.
